Constanza Ceruti wins ISWG Gold Medal Award

The International Society of Woman Geographers presented WINGS Fellow Constanza Ceruti, an Argentinian anthropologist, with the Gold Medal award during the organization's Triennial Meeting in May, the theme of which was "Women Who Make a Difference in the World."

Constanza spoke about her contributions to the fields of high altitude archaeology and the anthropology of sacred mountains – a speech which was met with a standing ovation.

Other women scholars who have received the Gold Medal include Jane Goodall and Sylvia Earle – both of whom are also WINGS Fellows – as well as Margaret Mead and Amelia Earhart. Congratulations Dr. Ceruti!
